Courtesy of Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is always expanding. In the coming months there will be huge changes to your favorite disney theme parks, In addition to Disney Springs the former Downtown Disney. Families favorite theme parks have been spreading rumors of Star Wars land, Avatar land from the famed movie on pandora and much more to come. Universal Orlando Resort is also starting to change and adapt with new rides and attractions coming as early as next year. Where will these remodels take place? what attractions should you take advantage of before they disappear forever?. Take it from a local things are moving quickly. I was headed to the Downtown Disney area months ago and getting in and out of the area was a nightmare, thankfully the construction seems to have stopped. They tore down quite a bit added new restaurants, shops and they even changed the name to Disney Springs. In addition Disney has shown mock photos of Disney's rumored Star Wars land but we do not know yet where it will be built. We do know that they will be adding this rumored section to Walt Disney World, Disney land and several other Global Disney theme parks. Recently there has been speculation of an Avatar land being built at Disney's Animal Kingdom .

Disney has been teasing this for quite some time, just the other day they released photos of what looked like a new light show that will be themed after avatar which is rumored to come in  2017. In other theme park news Universal will be building a Waterpark to come in 2017 themed after hawaii with the center piece being a Volcano. In addition Famed TV host Jimmy Fallon will be getting a ride at universal which will replace Twister.

Which ride will you miss? which ride are you most looking Forward too? let us know in the comments section. and please take a look to our local area guide for updates as the rumors are laid to rest and the rides are completed. 1. There is a new nighttime show and ride coming to Animal Kingdom. This theme park is the fourth park of Disney group of theme parks. The park though is not really known for its rides and has been known as a Half Day Park. Disney hopes that by investing money into the park which will go toward new rides they can change Guests minds. The park is known for its animals and as such the park has always closed earlier so that the animals can rest with the least noise possible. The park however has plans to do a nighttime show and ride which of course will mean the park will now open much later. We have no news as far as how late yet but we will continue to update on our blog as soon as we hear anything. We do know that the show will be hosted around the Discovery river and will feature live music, Floating lanterns, animal imagery and a lot if screens. The show was confirmed to be named "The Rivers Of Light" The show will feature the Illumination of the Iconic "Tree of life" The very popular Kilamanjaro Safari will also be upgrading and will feature i nighttime version of the safari.

The last days of Hollywood studios are upon us recently there will be a name change of the park and with it a new experience as the park will go under a complete reboot.
We at American Vacation Homes will continue to update you as soon as we receive word of anything new coming to Orlando.  you are also welcome to friend us on Facebook for even more updates and as always please keep us in mind as you plan your vacation.

Vacation rentals vs Hotels

Here are some things to consider while making your choice.

1   Value: Vacations should be fun, carefree and also easy on the wallet. You can have all of that by staying at one of our many Vacation homes. Instead of paying for two or three hotel rooms when planning your vacation, why not Book a Vacation rental? Our rentals accommodate as many guests as possible in our spacious homes ranging from 2 –6 bedrooms for half the price of a hotel. Our homes come fully furnished with fully equipped kitchens and all the comforts of home away from home.

Food: Florida is known as one of the worlds premiere destinations for Vacations, that being said families from around the globe travel to Florida on an annual basis. One of the hardest things to accomplish is to feed a large family on vacation for a reasonable price. One of the benefits of renting a vacation home is that you get a fully equipped kitchen with every rental. This feature lets you save time and money by being able to cook whatever you want at the rental.

Safety: For all families safety is top priority. You can relax and enjoy your vacation knowing that once you arrive we want you to feel like you are home and can experience a worry free vacation knowing that your children are playing in the safety of your vacation rental. We also have homes that are located at resorts and those homes are located in gated communities, which have 24-hour security.

Exclusive Luxury amenities: Our resort homes have plenty of amenities from large swimming pools and clubhouses inside the resorts to movie theaters and spas. If you don’t like sharing our vacation rentals come with BBQ grills and a private pool some homes even have Jacuzzis that you may use at your leisure while on vacation.

Space: If staying in a hotel normally you will stay in a cramped max two-bedroom suite and you will end up paying a lot of money. In our vacation rentals you don’t just get a room for your whole family, you get a fully furnished and fully equipped home where you can have as as much space as needed to accommodate your family. Each member of the family will have their own space and privacy and the best part is you will be paying much less than in a hotel.

Privacy: Unlike Hotels vacation rentals provide your family with a lot more privacy, amenities and overall comfort. Guests can come and go as they please without the stress of being disturbed by Housekeeping, Room Service and the noisy guests whom you wont find next door in our vacation rentals.
Please head to the link below for all your vacation rental needs. I hope you have a vacation rental experience like no other.
